New Features Wordpress 2.6
Advertised by :Yup, what you heard is true. Wordpress finally launch its 2.6 version. Its a month ahead of the schedule to release. Its good i think. This Wordpress 2.6 called Tyner, based on jazz pianist McCoy Tyner. Matt said this new version got a lot of new features and also improvement a lot better than 2.5 version.

I’m happy to announce that version 2.6 of WordPress.org is now available, almost a month ahead schedule. Version 2.6 “Tyner,” named for jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, contains a number of new features that make WordPress a more powerful CMS: you can now track changes to every post and page and easily post from wherever you are on the web, plus there are dozens of incremental improvements to the features introduced in version 2.5.
You want to know what are the new features ?
Here you go :
1. The first one is Post Revisions
This new features will display list of the revision post that you already did. So who ever make the changes on your post, you can trace back, view it back, also you can restore it back to current post.
I think this new feature really useful for those had multiple authors working on the same article.
2. Second one is Turbo Mode - Gears
This tool can creates a “Local Server” to cache or keep a copy of commonly-used Javascript and CSS files on your computer. And believe it or not, this new features can really speed up the loading of your admin pages. But you need to download Gears to work this out.
3. Third is Theme Previews
I think you already familiar with this one. If you using wordpress.com theme, this feature there already. Basically you can preview your theme first before you decided to publish it.
4. Image captions
Finally, now i can add small caption titles beneath the embedded images. So this really useful for blog that often use image for every post. I like this new features.
5. New Avatars
This feature also exist already in wordpress.com. Now you can display new avatar for your commentators. Option from a variety of different Identicons, Wavatars and MonsterID can be used.
6. Plugin update notification
This great feature allow you to notice the plugin update notification. You can see the small bubble indicates the number of plugins with updates and now they separated the active and inactive plugins. These plugin also can be selected by Shift-click together. Cools ha..
7. Word Count
This should be the most features that “paid review” funs 
No need to count your word post. You can see directly from wordpress post window how many words already in your post.
8. Reorder Galleries
Its really useful to change the order of images in a gallery. You can do it by simply drag and drop it and also it is no longer ordered by upload pattern.
